Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2001
Let’s Kick Mrs. Worthington
Following their success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2000 with ‘Lunch at the Cooked Goose’, Carol Bishop and Gillian were keen to return in 2001 with a new production.
‘Let’s Kick Mrs Worthington’ started as a collection of songs by Cole Porter and Noel Coward which had no real link other than their huge musical appeal. Marian Lines agreed to write a script that would bind the songs together and give the piece a central theme. The result was a witty, comical look at two women’s lives and their friendship to a backdrop of ghostly impressions of Cole, Noel, Ginger and Gertie, directed by Robin Martin-Oliver.
