The proceeds from the concert were in aid of The Alice Elizabeth fund for special needs treatment and equipment; monies were put towards providing Alice with necessary special equipment and enabling her to receive ongoing innovative treatment in Phytobiophysics and The Tomatis Method. Alice, Gillian's youngest daughter, suffered from a progressive and rare metabollic disorder, Leukodystrophy. 

The Tudor Merchants Hall was originally erected in Southampton's St. Michaels Square around 1428, where it housed the Woolen Cloth Hall and Fish Market. Gradually it fell into disrepair and was eventually sold as a derelict structure in 1634 and moved to its current site within the city wall at Westgate Street.
