As the title suggests, the second recital collaboration between Gillian and David  on 20th September 1997 at the Tudor Merchant's Hall in Southampton, embraced a wide variety of repertoire ranging from english song, chanson, lieder and arias  by Mozart, Strauss, Schumann, Purcell, Handel, Verdi, Massenet, Puccini, Britten and Walton, to the 'jazzy' twentieth century music theatre songs of Kurt Weill.

Gillian and David included in the programme three arias that they recorded at the Wigmore Hall in January 1993:  Deh, Vieni Non Tardar ('Le Nozze di Figaro' - WA Mozart), Titania's Aria (A Midsummer Night's Dream - Benjamin Britten) and At The Haunted End of The Day (Troilus and Cressida - William Walton).
