Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2001 |

Following their success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2000 with ‘Lunch at the Cooked Goose ’, Carol Bishop and Gillian were keen to return in 2001 with a new production. ‘Let’s Kick Mrs Worthington’ started as a collection of songs by Cole Porter and Noel Coward which had no real link other than their huge musical appeal. Marian Lines agreed to write a script that would bind the songs together and give the piece a central theme. The result was a witty, comical look at two women’s lives and their friendship to a backdrop of ghostly impressions of Cole, Noel, Ginger and Gertie, directed by Robin Martin-Oliver.
